The Perfect Wedding Departure Dress

Most brides tend to focus on their entrance. The big moment when she begins her walk down the isle towards her future partner. With a little research (lots of chic flicks and wedding magazines) we soon realized the departure is just as important as the arrival. Above is a film clip from "My Best Friend's Wedding" and it demonstrates a fantastic departure. If you think the fireworks are a little too much, opt for the much more cost effective sparklers like our bride Mollie. (pictured below)

The departure is also a great time to make an outfit change. Here are a few gowns that we think would look great next to any classic or fun car!

BLING- diamonds are a girls best friend

A girl's love of sparkle starts early. We play with our mom's jewelry, swoon over Dorothy's ruby red slippers, and wear a bejeweled tiara for any occasion were it is remotely appropriate (Halloween, birthdays, bachelorette parties, etc).  It is no big surprise when we incorporate our love of bling into one of the biggest
days of our lives, our wedding. Here are a few places to incorporate your love of everything that sparkles while still keeping your event chic and classic.

Our bride Kasey glowed in her "Reese" Amsale gown. The gorgeous crystal insert
in the bodice draws your eye up to the bride's beautiful smile.

Simply layers of shine and glitz keeps things classy.

Our bride Kelly embellished her hair with
Toni Federici's "ballroom"crystal hair pins.

The perfect finishing touch are these pearl and crystal earrings from J.Crew

What is a trunk show?

Appointments are booking up quickly for the Monique Lhuillier trunk show August 26-28.  Many brides, however, are not quite sure what a trunk show really is, or why they would want to attend one.
In short, a trunk show is a traveling assortment of the designer’s latest bridal gown collection. The trunk show travels to a different bridal salon each weekend after it makes a big debut on the red carpet in April or October. These gowns give the bride an opportunity to try on gowns that may not be in the stores yet.  Best yet, brides get to try on a larger selection of the designer’s gowns and receive a 10% discount if they order during the trunk show.

p.s.- we heart peony!
Don't miss your opportunity to meet this gown at the
