Q & A with the Ladies of Town and Country Bridal Boutique

Name: Stephanie
Title: Store Owner

What is your favorite store memory?
I actually have two favorite memories. First, when the entire staff ventured out to see the movie "bridesmaids". We kicked off the night with tons of mini appetizer plates and cocktails at Houlihan's. One of our consultants, Lindsey, was obessed with the new "cutini" cocktail and insisted we all try it. We ended the evening with the movie, which we all loved. (How could you not love a Wilson Philips sing along moment?) It just made me realize how lucky I am to work with this amazing group of ladies.
My second favorite store memory was working with the non-profit that helps terminally ill brides and grooms create their dream weddings. We had the honor of donating a beautiful Lea-Ann Belter gown to a bride. The experience of helping make her biggest wish come true was such a great feeling.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I love spending time with my husband and daughter. I also love going to the movies. Romantic comedies, especially "Say Anything" and"Sweet Home Alabama" are my favorite type of movie to watch.

What is your best advice for a bride?
Have an idea of what you like before you come in so we have a starting point. Be confident in your own style but open minded enough to look at different fabrics or a gown that you would have never thought of trying on. Once you like a dress have your own opinion and stick to it. Don't be swayed by friends and family members opinions because you will ultimately be the one wearing the wedding gown. You want to put on your wedding gown the day of your wedding and not have any doubts.

What is your "wow" I get to sell designer wedding gowns for a living moment?
When I was in New York at Bridal Market and arrived for the Amsale Runway Show to see her newest collection debut. Anne and I were talking to Allison, Director of Sales for Amsale, and she called Amsale herself over to introduce her to us. Amsale stood there and talked to us about her inspiration for her designs and told us about the last time she had been in St. Louis. It was so amazing to be talking to such a legend in the industry.

Do you prefer the groom to wear a bow tie or neck tie?
Neck tie

What gown in our store best describes you and why?
"Candy" by Monique Lhuillier. It is elegant but whimsical and fun. It is also pink . . which if you know me well . . . is my signature color. EVERYTHING in my life is pink!

What is your guilty pleasure?
Little Debbie Snacks.  My favorites are party cakes, star crunch, swiss cake rolls and nutty bars. They are my weakness.

**I also get an Iced Grande Non-Fat Vanilla Latte every single morning from Starbucks before coming to work. (But I don't feel guilty about that!)

AISLE STYLE

Today's blog post  is inspired by one of Town and Country Bridal Boutique's own, Anne. Anne also happens to be engaged and planning her October 2012 wedding. We thought it would be a great idea to share some of the current wedding trends we love with our readers as we look for inspiration for her wedding. Today we scoured through tons of wedding blogs and websites to find attainable and stunning aisle decor. We fell in love with flower petal patterns, tall cylinder vases, pomanders, candlelight, and mini trees.  Enjoy!!!
